This workshop provides hands-on experience with motorcycle CLUTCH REPAIR & TUNING including advice on ACCESSORIES, TOOLS, and SUPPLIES.

Our hands-on workshop offers an excellent opportunity to delve into the intricacies of motorcycle clutch repair and tuning. Learn from experienced instructor, Zack Cyphers, as you disassemble, inspect, and reassemble a clutch, gaining a deep understanding of its components and operation. Discover the art of clutch tuning, optimizing its performance for a smoother, more responsive ride. With hands-on practice and expert guidance, you’ll emerge from this workshop confident in your ability to maintain and fine-tune your motorcycle’s clutch, ensuring a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

INSTRUCTOR // Zack Cyphers
Zack has worked coast to coast and abroad. He is an educator first and foremost and taught video production in urban Philadelphia public schools, taught middle and high school English Language Arts courses on US military bases in Europe, wrote education programs for a national museum, worked as an elementary school librarian, and now serves as a data specialist for a large public school district.
Zack is a self-taught mechanic, and has owned all kinds of vintage and modern cars and bikes. He loves motorcycling in all its forms, from track days to off road adventures.
OVERVIEW
The Facility Makerspace presents a public session with ALCHEMY MOTO. In this 2-hour hands-on workshop you will gain a fundamental understanding of your clutch systems, how to diagnose basic issues, and how to repair and install parts properly.
The shop is our classroom where your instructor will provide an overview of the clutch system and familiarize you with specific terminology. You will develop a working understanding of the benefits and limitations of your options when working with clutch issues. Your instructor will cover best practices, so you get your work done right.
Through this series of classes ALCHEMY MOTO provides a comprehensive approach to amateur motorcycle maintenance. Along the way you will gain the knowledge and confidence to troubleshoot typical issues and work on your bike safely.

NOTE
If this is your first class at The Facility please arrive 15 minutes early for some paperwork and a short safety briefing.
We make every effort to start class promptly.
This intro class prepares you to work on your bikes clutch and perform basic repair and install. Two hours won’t transform you into an expert wrench wielding grease monkey, but you will walk away better prepared to keep your motorcycle rolling, and shifting, safely.
