INSTRUCTOR // Bukasa Tshilombo

Bukasa spent the last 25 years at the forefront of cutting-edge technology development and implementation. He brings robust experience in the U.S. cellular industry working in advanced mobile devices, cellular technology, and emerging IoT applications, including connected cars, personal emergency devices, and smart home automation. His wealth of expertise spans hardware, software, and IoT solutions, having contributed to industry giants like AT&T, T-Mobile, Samsung, KonnectONE, ZTE USA, and Microsoft.

Beyond his extensive career in telecommunications, Bukasa also taught courses in electronics, programming, mathematics, statistics, computer science, and artificial intelligence at several esteemed colleges and universities in California and Washington State. Additionally, Bukasa is actively involved in the maker community, collaborating over the years with prominent makerspaces in the Seattle Metro Area such as SoDo Makerspace, Makerhaus, SnoCo Makerspace, Seattle Markers, North End Markers, The Garage at Microsoft, and The Facility at Edmonds College. He has designed and delivered multiple embedded programing, microcontroller, single board computers, and IoT training and workshops using the Arduino, ESP32, RaspberryPi, and many other devices and cloud IoT solutions.

Orientations start promptly at 6:00pm.

This Orientation prepares you to safely perform basic operations on supported equipment. It is not intended to cover design concepts or comprehensive operation of this equipment. If you are interested in learning more about design or advanced equipment operation look for additional upcoming classes.

Safety and Basic Use (SBU) Orientations at The Facility are open to anyone over 18 years old. Please feel free to pass this invitation on to others. Minimum enrollment of 5 people is required to hold the orientation.
